CHARLOTTE, N.C. —The Charlotte Ad Club launched today its new name – AAF - Charlotte - and redesigned Web site, www.aafcharlotte.com. The new AAF – Charlotte Web site launch coincides with the beginning of the organization’s new season and marks the name change from Charlotte Ad Club to AAF - Charlotte.
Created by Web design firm Studiobanks (www.studiobanks.com) of Charlotte, N.C., the new site better organizes the group's content with added features, including member profiles, company pages and a vendor search. The site serves as an advertising resource for the Charlotte region, as well as a way to keep up with AAF - Charlotte news and events. The overall enhanced design promotes AAF - Charlotte’s role as an organization that unifies the diverse voices of the local advertising community. For those who work in an industry that deals directly or indirectly with advertising, AAF - Charlotte is the area’s go-to resource.
Along with a modernized look, AAF - Charlotte’s Web site, structure and function were streamlined in the update. "We were very excited about taking on the redesign of the Ad Club Web site. There was lots of room for improvement and the club has done so much for the design community, it was nice to give back,” says Banks Wilson, President & Creative Director for Studiobanks. “First we came up with a much cleaner and more organized layout. From there we built in features that would help members promote themselves and their companies. Members can now post work samples, press releases and tag their profiles with the various services they offer.” Clients looking for vendors can now search the club's member database based on the type of service they need. The design team at Studiobanks also added a job board and much improved news and calendar sections. “Overall I think the site will serve as a great asset to the club and should help build it's membership,” says Wilson.
"On behalf of AAF - Charlotte, I extend my appreciation for the valuable effort, time and resources Studiobanks has dedicated to this site redesign," said AAF - Charlotte president, Richard Halliburton. "Through the outstanding commitment of the AAF - Charlotte Web team led by Jeff Hurley, and the accomplished design team at Studiobanks, including copywriter Bill Purdy, AAF – Charlotte now has a site that serves all facets of the Charlotte advertising industry, truly establishing AAF – Charlotte as Charlotte’s voice and resource for all things advertising.”
