AAF Charlotte began its exciting new season with a phenomenal kickoff event last week---Finding A Spot In The Sun with Limerick Studios and Wray Ward.

Held at the swanky Chima Brazilian Steakhouse in Uptown Charlotte, the night began with a delicious spread of food and networking among a crowd of nearly 50 guests. Vice President of Programs Brion Blais welcomed the crowd and saluted the new and renewed members of AAF who were in attendance. Then the lights dimmed as a 2 minute clip of the National ADDY-award winning video for Sunbrella played on the big screen. John Roberts, Creative Director at Wray Ward, Mike Kelley, owner and founder of Limerick Studios, and Thom Blackburn, Limerick's Creative Director, began their presentation offering insights into the creation of a video on this grand of a scale.

The audience learned details about the project requirements, the pre-production process and what it was like to face the elements on location in White Sands National Monument in New Mexico. Jason Hausman, composer and owner of Hot Sake who worked on the video's sound in post-production, also answered questions from the audience. Following all the questions, the crowd viewed the entire video for the Sunbrella 50th anniversary campaign and was able to fully appreciate the creativity and cinematography after the night's informative presentation.
