Direct Marketing Sales Representative

The Direct Marking Sales Representative will be responsible for sales presentations and telemarketing, selling advertising to prospective customers in order to maximize revenue and achieve sales objectives. The primary objective is to generate new Direct Marketing revenue by selling to businesses that have not advertised in The Charlotte Observer.

The Representative also keeps abreast of Direct Marketing products, seeks out pertinent competitive media information. Prepares proposals and presentations for outside sales calls. Submits monthly sales reports explaining increases or decreases in revenue activity. Prepares advertising transactions in a timely manner to ensure that ads run without errors and in accordance with credit and customer service standards and policies. Candidate must have excellent consultative selling skills. Strong presentation and communication skills, a well-groomed, professional appearance, strong organizational skills, and the ability to focus on detail.
