Back End PHP Developer

Our growing interactive agency in uptown Charlotte is seeking a full time Back End PHP Developer. This talented developer will work collaboratively with our close-knit team of graphic designers, coders, analysts, and clients to define and execute all aspects of interactive development.

As a Back End PHP Developer, you are expected to have expert knowledge of LAMP based development and should be someone who constantly craves seeking out the latest in coding technologies and platforms.

You should be capable of helping other team members with problems that need solutions, and managing both personal and small team projects. You should be an individual with strong communication skills and the have desire to interact with both clients and team members in a consistently positive manner and live by the motto... "anything is possible." You should be driven and detail-oriented with strong leadership qualities.

Skills To Pay The Bills:

3+ years advanced experience in LAMP development
Creative with HTML5 and CSS3
PHP experience with MVC Frameworks like CodeIgniter, Kohana, Laravel, Symphony
Front End frameworks such as SASS
Expert knowledge in JavaScript (jQuery, AJAX, etc.)
Excellent database management, optimization for MySQL
Creating responsive websites as well as strictly-mobile websites
Using APIs to consume and post data from/to REST, SOAP and other services
Experience with the basics of linux-based server administration
Experience with hosting control panels such as Plesk
Advanced knowledge of DNS setup and management
Solid understanding of standards and usability
Solid understanding of SEO practices to maximize on-page optimizationPay special attention to detail and conduct QA testing prior to pushing code live
Maintain project timelines and meet deadlines

Desired Skills:

Knowledge of Dev Ops in regards to automating the development process using tools like Grunt and JSLint
Experience in UX/UXA tasks including user testing and A/B testing
Experience with server-side analytics like New Relic
Experience with server tuning, caching and other techniques to decrease process usage and load times
